Mallory Park - Nobody's Fools Race - 1976

I got the following email from David Sellars:

"Hello,
I am wondering if anyone has any further knowledge of, or has any  interest in an  item of Slade memorabilia.

Apart from having seen the item, and  had recount of  it's origin I am unable to find anything at all about it. The  item in question is a 'Gold Disc'. This is not one of those mass produced   modern 'limited collectors discs', but an original from the day. It is the  album  'Nobody's Fools' and bears an engraved plaque stating: 'Slade Trophy Race  For  Special Saloons 21 March 1976'

It was presented by a band member (I think  Noddy Holder?) to a friend of mine,  on the grid at Malory Park race circuit,  upon him having won the Special Saloon  race. Any further information (or  interest) would be appreciated . "

Does anyone know anything about the Disc, the Mallory Park Race, or Nod attending the event? Thanks - Dave
