Dave, Great website, great memories of Slade across the years, I first saw them in February 1973, the day Noize went in at No. 1, my first ever rock gig. It was stunning, I saw them 12 times altogether, the Rogues Gallery tour, I had tickets booked and would have gone to as many shows as possible. Always thought they fizzled away instead of one last tour for the fans, it was a shame they did'nt do a full gig at Walsall in 1991 for 25 years. On a more positive note, the Slade Night on BBC4 is really good news, I was hoping it would be this weekend rather than too close to Xmas but at least it is being shown. I missed the get together in September, I was taking my daughter to her digs at York University, Rod Fox and Wendy Evans keep in touch and they said it was a great weekend. I met Jim Lea @ 3 years ago at Wolverhampton Eye Hospital car park ! He was the only one I had not met before, how can you condense 30 years into a 5 minute chat? We spoke about ELO bizarrely, it was one of the few times I did not have a Slade CD or Therapy in my car ! and I forgot to ask about String Theory. I regularly send in requests for Slade tracks on the radio, Johnnie Walker played All the World is a Stage last year, even with the laughter at the end and my comments that Nod and Jim are underrated as writers. Keep on Rockin, Alan
