"Hello Quo", the movie about Status Quo, hits the cinemas in September.
My mate Alan G Parker directs the movie - and he included an interview with Jim Lea (filmed last Autumn at his London flat).
So watch out for this movie!
I found the "unusual" pic above the other day. I think it was taken in mid-'74 before Slade in Flame filming started.
I don't know any background to the picture - obviously it looks like the band were attending a Fancy Dress party... Gary Jordan has made the comment on Facebook that maybe they are dressed as ancient leaders (Don: Julius Caesar, Jim: Oliver Cromwell, Nod: Napoleon....and Dave Hill, umm...).
I have emailed Don with the pic. He has no recollection of it. But he has emailed it on to Nod and Dave - to see if they remember what was going on!
If anyone know the background - then please let me know.
Great interview with Dave Hill on Lady Starduzt's Wall of Sound radio show today.
Dave talks about his stroke, what happened and how he got over it and moved on. Interview shows the great positive attitude of H.

A date for the diary.
I understand that Jim Lea will be judging the Battle of The Bands final at the Robin 2 again in Bilston - on Friday 14th December...
Well, if off on holiday on Monday - going for a few days raving (!!) in Ibiza.
Disappointed that I will not be around for the Evening with Noddy Holder at the Komedia in Brighton on Thursday.
However, I know that some of my regular friends; John Berry, Lady Starduzt, John Gibbings and Simon Harvey will be in attendance - so I will get an update on the event when I return.
Also, I have asked Si to take some pics and write a few words for the pages of www.davekempandslade.com - so watch this space!
Dave Kemp. Born 1960. Father of two. From West Hampstead, London and relocated to Cambridgeshire. Huge Slade fan. The band have been in my thoughts every day since I was 12 years old...
